See how science has led to effective treatments based on tree size and health as reliable predictors at preventing tree loss. We will explore Tree Injection Best Management Practices as compiled by co-authors Dr. Smiley and Shawn Bernick within the ISA’s BMP booklet. Developing a consistent training program of where to properly inject trees and approaching this science as a toolbox approach. Learn the latest in trunk injection processes and minimize wounding with the latest in open-system, trunk injection tools.
10 am – 11 am: Field demo on ash trees
Hands on demonstration with plug-less, low pressure tool for successful tree injection. Learn how, and where to inject a tree properly while minimizing the wounding (aside from drilling to access the Xylem). Questions and answers around all the variables required for successful tree injection.
